Party Games
Codenames
A clever word-association party game for two teams. Spymasters give one-word clues to help their team identify their agents on the grid before the other team does.
Rules
Two teams each have a spymaster who can see a hidden key card showing which words belong to which team. Spymasters give a one-word clue plus a number, indicating how many words on the board relate to that clue. Their team guesses that many words. Guessing an opposing word ends the turn; guessing the assassin word loses instantly.
How to Play
1. Arrange 25 word cards in a 5x5 grid and set the secret key card between spymasters.
2. Spymasters alternate giving a one-word clue and a number.
3. The team discusses and points to words they think match the clue.
4. Correct guesses reveal the team's color and may continue guessing; wrong guesses end the turn.
5. First team to reveal all their agents wins - avoid the assassin at all costs.
